This week, the Philippines’ coronavirus cases is the highest among Southeast Asia.

As global cases surpassed 1.8 million and a death toll of more than 100,000, one of the growing concerns of many is access to healthcare facilities, and the cost of getting treatment for COVID-19. The country’s state-run insurance agency announced that they will cover the financial cost of getting treatment for COVID-19. However, patients admitted starting April 15 will get coverage based on a recomputed case rate.
