Public transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) now allows 100% full capacity across all modes of transportation for areas under Alert Level 1. Meanwhile, Local Government Units have the prerogative to pass supplemental ordinances deemed more applicable to the local situation should additional restrictions be necessary.
Moreover, following the issuance of Executive Order No. 7, series of 2022, masks are still required to be worn inside all public transportation by land, air, or sea. Frequent sanitation is also encouraged to minimize the transmission of the virus.
